EL SEGONDO, CAL. 1950, F-86'S WERE MY BABIES, FROM PRODUCTION, FLIGHT LINE, FLIGHT TEST, ARMAMENT, F-86A F86-D, AND THE HOT BIRDS F-86 H THE H AND D MODELS WERE HELD BACK FROM COMBAT, THE D HAD A ROCKET POD, AND THE H. WAS THE HOT ONE THE THUNDER BIRDS FLEW AT NELLIS AFB I ALSO WAS ON THE F-100 PROGRAM I BELIVE IF F-86 FLEW AGAINST THE 100, WITH EQUEL PILOTS THE 86 WOULD WIN, P-51 & F-86 WERE THE BEST BIRDS NAA BUILT

Comments: Was crew chief on F-86F 52-4484 at Kadena AB Okinawa from June 1957 until they were sent to Taiwan. A typhoon damaged many of the aircraft in September of 1957 which caused the Commander of the 313th AD to get relieved of duty. Fun aircraft to work on.
